About Ao

Dr. Ao Xu is an associate professor of fluid mechanics at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). He received his bachelor's degree in theoretical and applied mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2013 and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2017. Dr. Xu's current research is focused on turbulent transport and particle migration. He has published 39 papers in various prestigious journals, among which 20 papers are as the first author. These papers have collectively received more than 1400 citations, earning Dr. Xu an h-index of 20 (Scopus). In the international community, Dr. Xu serves as an associate editor of International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer.

徐翱，西北工业大学长聘副教授。 2013年于中国科学技术大学获理论与应用力学学士学位，2017年于香港科技大学获机械工程学博士学位。 现围绕流体力学核心问题“湍流结构和输运”开展基础研究。 共发表SCI论文39篇（其中第一作者论文20篇），SCI他引1347次，h因子为21。 第一作者论文包括《Journal of Fluid Mechanics》2篇、《Physical Review Fluids》2篇、《Physics of Fluids》5篇、《International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer》6篇， 他引者包括中、美、英等国的9位院士，以及APS/ASME/AIAA等学会的12位会士。 受邀作为第一作者为中国力学学会旗舰期刊《Acta Mechanica Sinica》撰写格子玻尔兹曼数值模拟方法及其应用的综述（入选ESI高被引论文，单篇他引143次）。 主持国家自然科学基金（面上项目、青年项目）、国防科工局XX重大工程（青年项目）、国防科技重点实验室基金等科研项目。 入选中国科协青年人才托举工程（2023）、中国力学学会青年人才蓄水池项目（2021）、西北工业大学翱翔新星人才计划（2021），连续两年进入全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单（2022、2023）， 获西北工业大学优秀青年教师一等奖（2023）。 在中国力学大会、全国流体力学学术会议、全国湍流与流动稳定性专题研讨会等做学术报告10余次（含邀请报告、主旨报告）。 担任国际期刊《International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer》副编辑（Associate Editor）。
